Tomoko “T” (Sera) Kaloostian, 87, formerly of Blue Bell Road in Worcester, died on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the Oasis at Dodge Park.
Her Husband, Martin Kaloostian passed away in 2003.
Tomoko was born in Kumamoto Ken, Japan. She was the daughter of Takaichi and Tomie (Ito) Sera. She met her husband, Martin, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Japan. After they married, they came to the United States in 1970, settling in Worcester. Tomoko (nicknamed “Moshi Mosh”) became very close to her husband’s family and extended family, including her sister-in-law, Alice (Kaloostian) LaFleur, who passed away in 2015.
Tomoko was well-liked and made friends wherever she went. She had a heart for lending a listening ear, and for caring for others. She loved all animals, and enjoyed working around her house, in her yard and in her gardens.
Tomoko is survived by family in Japan and members of the Kaloostian family, as well as her close friend, Carol Kozlowski of Sturbridge.
Thank you to the owners and staff at the Oasis at Dodge Park for providing the best care possible during Tomoko’s last few years.
Funeral services and burial in Hope Cemetery will be private.
A donation in Tomoko’s honor could be made to any local veteran’s organization or local animal shelter.
