Thomas G. Belanger, 59, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, August 7th, 2023.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Donna M. (Rhieu) Belanger; his sons, Thomas R. and wife Lauren, Brian S. Belanger, Timothy D. and his partner Jessica Dougherty, and three grandchildren, Amelia, Bobby and Marley. He leaves behind his siblings Kathleen Tyrrell, Susan Ciesluk and her husband Mitchell, Ann Moriarty and her husband James, Robert Belanger, and Carolyn Pestritto and her husband Michael.
Thomas was born in Worcester on August 11th, 1963. Son of the late Barbara (Crowton) and Guy T. Belanger, he was just days shy of celebrating his 60th birthday.
Tom attended Saint Peter-Marian and graduated Worcester Vocational Tech High School with his welding degree. He worked at Washington Mills in North Grafton for 38 years.
Tom was a Boston sports fan and coached all three of his boys. Every summer he loved to go deep sea fishing and load up a cooler with lobsters off the boats. He loved vacationing in Maine and the Cape, and enjoyed grilling and good seafood. He loved classic movies like The Godfather, Jaws, and the Clint Eastwood series. He will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 12, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be private.
