Obituary

Theresa M. Campbell, 101, a resident of the Holy Trinity Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

She leaves a niece Judith (Campbell) Whalen, and five nephews, David Campbell, William Fox, Jr., Michael Fox, Stephen Fox and Brian Fox.  She was predeceased by her sister Virginia (Campbell) Fox, and her brothers, Henry Campbell and Rev. William Campbell.

Theresa was born in Worcester, the daughter of William and Maria (Healy) Campbell, and lived in Worcester for most of her life.

She was a graduate of Saint Peter’s High School and the Elms College in Chicopee.

Theresa initially worked in Albany, NY, as a researcher and upon returning to Worcester, taught at Saint Peter’s Grammar School.  She later established a career at Mason Labs, where she worked for over 20 years.  She was last employed by the Internal Revenue Service in data entry.

She had a very strong faith and was a longtime member of Saint Joan of Arc Church.  She supported not only her Church but many charitable groups.

Theresa was best known for her keen intellect and good sense of humor.  She liked to read and enjoyed watching sports, especially when it involved her grandnieces and grandnephews.

As testimony to her fortitude and resilience, Theresa lived independently for over 100 years before a medical condition required her admittance to Holy Trinity.

Her family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding and loving care that she received from the staff of Holy Trinity and from the Jewish Health Care Hospice staff.

Funeral services are private.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory are suggested to the Elms College, 291 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
