Rose A. Dyer

Rose A. "Sis" Dyer, 95, of Worcester, died on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center.

Sis was predeceased by her sister Mary C. Sexton and her brothers, Msgr. John J. Dyer, Thomas P. Dyer, Martin “Joe” Dyer and William H. Dyer.  She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Rose was born in Worcester, daughter of Martin J. and Ellen (Morris) Dyer and graduated from Ascension High School.

She was Director of Policy Change Services at State Mutual Life Assurance Company where she worked for over 35 years.

Rose was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and traveling.  

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 22, with a calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester.  Burial will be St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc Church.
