Robin M. Harrington, 67, of Worcester, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, after a short illness.
Robin was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Francis J. and Katherine M. (Tivnan) Harrington. She grew up in Leicester and resided in Worcester for the majority of her life.
Robin was a graduate of Leicester High School and Quinsigamond Community College. She worked at the Norton Company within the research and development lab of the Ceramics Division in Northborough until retirement. For over a decade, she also worked at the College of the Holy Cross in food and beverage services at the Hogan Center and as a bartender at Leicester Country Club.
Robin enjoyed playing softball throughout her life and was first named MVP of the lady Wolverines softball team her sophomore year. Later in life, Robin picked up a new passion and you would see her on the field playing rugby. Robin was happiest when surrounded by her caring family and loving friends, many who became like family to her. Robin found joy in the simple things of life, and you could regularly find her catching up with family and friends at a local bar...and of course playing Keno.
Robin leaves two brothers, Francis J. Harrington of Worcester, and Mark M. Harrington and his wife Donna of Leicester; a sister Kathleen M. McMullan and her husband William of Worcester; and nephews and nieces. She also leaves her partner of 22 years, Debbie Bonardi of Worcester.
