Curly was born in Worcester, son of the late Richard O. and Jane T. (Goulet) Blevins. He lived in Worcester most of his life before moving recently to Auburn.
He was a 1971 graduate of Burncoat High School in Worcester. He later graduated from the former Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.
He began his career at State Mutual in the information technology department and then moved on to become an auditor at Guaranty Bank and Multibank. In later years, he became part owner of a limousine company and also managed a sports bar, Rivalry's, on Shrewsbury Street. To keep busy in recent years, he worked with the Valet Park of America located at UMass-Memorial.
Early on in his life, Curly could be found coaching baseball at the Tris Speaker Little League as his father did when he was a child, where he played with his brothers. The Special Olympics also held a special place in his heart and he volunteered regularly at their events.
Curly's greatest joy in life was his family and his vast circle of friends. He could always be found at one of his nieces or nephews sporting events cheering them on. He was a dedicated New England Patriots fan and owned season tickets for over 40 years. In addition, he loved golf and he helped organize many golfing events for charity. Curly loved putting a smile on children’s faces and dressed up as Santa Claus for many events around the city of Worcester, his friends and his many nieces and nephews.
Curly was known by many, and loved by all. He was always available no matter what the circumstance and his generous spirit and love that he gave will be missed but never forgotten.
