Paul Gregory Topalian, 84, of North Oxford, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Christopher House in Worcester.
Paul was born in Worcester, son of Zakar and Bernadine (Balian) Topalian. He lived in Worcester until moving to North Oxford more than 25 years ago.
Paul served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Paul was a cab owner and operator with Red Cab in Worcester for more than 35 years. He also worked as a manager at AAA.
He was a member of the Holy Cross Armenian Catholic Church of Belmont. He also worshipped at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Worcester and St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford.
Paul leaves a sister Theresa Topalian of North Oxford; a nephew Michael Topalian and his wife Dorian of Lincoln, N.H.; and three grand-nephews,
Robert Smith of Brooklyn, N.Y., Matthew Topalian of Clinton and Christopher Topalian of Auburn.
Paul was predeceased by his sister Christine Topalian, his brothers Garabed “Moe” Topalian and Joseph S. Topalian, and his niece Susan Topalian.
There will be a calling hour Friday, December 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul’s Cathedral, 15 Chatham St., Worcester. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
