Patricia Rafferty Obituary

On November 7, 2025, Patricia Rafferty of Hyannis passed on due to recent medical issues.

Born on June 24, 1944 in Worcester, MA to John and Margaret Rafferty, she graduated from St. Peter’s High School and earned an education degree from Anna Maria College.

Patricia was a special education teacher in the Worcester Public Schools for many years.  After retiring. she moved to Cape Cod.

In 1965, Pat met Joseph Morano. They married and had a son, Kenneth C. Morano. Joseph passed in 1977. In 1982, she met Leonard Lucas and they were married in 1983. He passed in 1993.

Pat enjoyed golfing and swimming. She overcame substance abuse and was very active in the AA community, helping others as well.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret, and her siblings, Mary O’Connell, John Rafferty, Ann Taylor and Francis Thomson. She is survived by Her son Kenneth C Morano and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a funeral Mass on Friday, November 21, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
