Patricia McGinn Obituary

Patricia R. (Fenlon) McGinn, 90, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Jewish Healthcare Center.

Her husband of 58 years, Edward J. McGinn, died in 2021.

She leaves two sons, Worcester Police Deputy Chief Edward J. McGinn Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Auburn, and Richard J. McGinn and his wife Heather of Chandler, AZ; a daughter, Theresa A. McGinn-Brunelli and her husband Robert Brunelli of Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren, Caitlyn Cameron (wife of Douglas Cameron) and Kelly McGinn, Ryan, Sean and Conor McGinn, and Hannah and Elizabeth Brunelli; her sister Rita M. Hassett of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. Her brother Frederick J. Fenlon passed away in 2023.

Patricia was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Boyd) Fenlon and lived in Worcester all her life.

She was a graduate of the former St. Stephen’s High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing.

Patricia was a registered nurse on the staff of St. Vincent Hospital where she worked for more than 40 years, retiring in 1999. She truly was a dedicated nurse to her patients, and she greatly enjoyed the fellowship of her fellow nurses and staff at St. Vincent’s.

Patricia was a parishioner of St. Peter–St. Andrew Parish and a member of the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.   Pat also volunteered for many years for the March of Dimes.

Pat was most happy spending time with family. Among her happiest memories were hosting holiday open-house gatherings, family vacations along the NH seacoast, trips to Disney World, cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, and her favorite trip to Ireland.

The McGinn family is grateful to the staffs of the Jewish Healthcare Center, JHC Hospice and the JHC Eisenberg Center for the skilled and compassionate care Patricia received.
