Patricia D. (White) Marotta, 85, of Horsham, Penn. and formerly of Worcester, Mass, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, Penn.
Patricia was the daughter of John J. “Scoops” and Ruth E. (Daunt) White. Her husband, Thomas Marotta, passed away in 1994.
She leaves three children, Lisa Robinson and her husband Matthew Robinson of Horsham, Penn., Thomas Marotta of New Hope, Penn., and Susan Gentile and her husband Barry Gentile of Worcester; her two brothers, Paul D. White and John K. White, and her two sisters, Mary Jean Lemire and her husband Hank Lemire, and Eileen J. Gareau and her husband Dr. Michael Gareau, all of Worcester. She also had six grandchildren, Nicholas Mayer, Michael Carville, and Gia Gentile, of Worcester; Olivia Robinson and Lyndsey Robinson of Horsham, Penn, and Gina Marotta of New Hope, Penn.
Patricia worked a variety of jobs growing up, and later worked as an administrator and dental assistant for an orthodontics office in Horsham. Patricia also supported many charities and organizations that served domestic violence victims, children's welfare, animal advocacy and cancer research.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, visiting Hampton Beach, N.H., Cape Cod, Mass, and Sea Isle City, N.J., and keeping in touch with lifelong friends sharing stories and life experiences. She also loved visiting Atlantic City with relatives, reading, good seafood, and being the central figure in a family that looked to her for love, wisdom and laughter.
Calling hours are Friday, February 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will Saturday, February 4, at Noon in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 596 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
