Patricia J. Brosnan

Patricia Jane Brosnan, 78, of Worcester, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, surrounded by those who loved her.

Patricia was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert J. Brosnan and Rita A. (Herbert) Brosnan Malone.  She graduated from the former Holy Name High School and attended both The Salter School and Becker College.  

Patricia spent her career working for the Worcester County Court system and the district attorney’s office before retiring. 

She learned to play the piano as a young girl and was a lover of classical music, often attending concerts in Institute Park.  She enjoyed visiting the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and trips to the Brimfield Antique Fair.   

A devout Catholic, Patricia gave her time to the church.  She will be remembered as a caring, kind and generous person.  She will be missed by her family.   

Patricia leaves her son Jason Brosnan of South Boston; her sister Rita Shea and her husband Gerald of Worcester; her brother Jay Malone of Southbridge; two nieces, Colleen Zekos and Kelly Boyd; her great nephews and nieces who she meant the world to and many cousins. 

The funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
