Michael R. Carlson was stricken ill and died on Friday, October 6, at his Leominster home.
Michael was born in Worcester, grew up In West Boylston, and lived in Leominster for more than twenty years.
He was a graduate of the Bancroft School in Worcester. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
At an early age, Mike had a great interest in learning about computer hardware and software and continued to expand his knowledge through high school and college.
For the past 27 years, he was a devoted member of the Bryley Systems computer consulting firm based in Clinton. As the company’s Chief Technical Officer, Michael played a lead role in providing network design and implementation services for their clients.
Michael leaves his parents, Robert and Joan K. (Foley) Carlson of West Boylston; a sister Kerri Halloran and her husband Sean, and their children Joseph and Matthew Halloran of Paxton; aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be calling hours Friday, October 13, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass Will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will be private.
