Maureen F. Sarsfield-Mendoza, 67, of Worcester, died Saturday, June 24, 2023 at home after an illness.
Moe leaves her husband of 41 years, John Mendoza; a son Jason Sarsfield, a granddaughter Grace Sarsfield, both of Worcester; a sister Christine Sarsfield of Grafton; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond F. and Michael Sarsfield, and her sister Kathleen Dodge.
Moe was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Fred R. and Marion T. (Looney) Sarsfield, and lived in Worcester most of her life.
She was a graduate of Burncoat High School. She completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program of the Worcester David Hale Fanning Trade School.
Moe worked at several health care facilities including the former Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury and Blaire House in Worcester.
Moe enjoyed crocheting and visits to the beach. She cherished her time with her family, and was especially proud of her granddaughter Grace whom she loved to brag about.
There are calling hours Wednesday, June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. There will be a service in the funeral home on Thursday, June 29, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
