Mary Meloche Obituary

Mary Christine (Bourget) Meloche, 69, of Northbridge, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Milford Regional Medical Center.

She leaves her son, Jeremy M. Meloche, his wife Michelle and their children, Lincoln and Lila, all of East Brookfield; her mother, Margaret Festa of Grafton; her two sisters, Sharon Cullina and her husband Dave Zwicker and Tandrea Perry and her husband John; her brother, Alfred Bourget and his wife Dianne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her close friend Carol.

Mary was born in Worcester to Margaret Mary (Sullivan) and Alfred J. Bourget. She graduated from South High School and worked as an order processor at a number of companies in central New England including Gilman Bros.

Mary was blessed to have two wonderful grandchildren and they were her pride and joy. She treasured her time with them at many family gatherings and was a major influence in their young lives.

Mary was particularly close to her mother. She was a devoted daughter and unwavering companion. Some of her favorite times were regular visits to Cape Cod beaches and cranberry bogs with her sisters, Friday afternoon visits with her mother, brother and sister-in-law, and daily walks with her mother’s best friend, Benji the dog.

An avid baseball fan, Mary’s favorite pastime was watching the Boston Red Sox. She also had a special talent for flowers and gardening, a reflection of her kind and gentle spirit. Mary was an instant friend to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter in East Brookfield to honor Mary’s love of animals.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
