Mary T. Logan-Kelley, 97, of Worcester, died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her Tatnuck Park home.
Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas F. and Rachel (Leslie) Logan, and lived in Worcester all her life.
Mary was a graduate of North High School. She graduated from the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in the last class of a program sponsored by the federal government to fund a Cadet Nurse Corps related to needs of World War II. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Assumption College.
Mary was a registered nurse for many years on the staff at St. Vincent Hospital on Vernon Hill. She then became the Director of Nursing at the former Worcester County Hospital retiring in 1994.
Mary was a member of the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, and the Worcester Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
She was an avid skier with her family and friends, and skied many different mountains including the Italian Alps and the U.S. Rockies. She loved reading and solving crossword puzzles. She leaves a son Stephen L. Kelley of Worcester and his partner Michelle Driscoll. She enjoyed helping care for Stephen’s many beagles and took them for long walks around the neighborhood whenever possible.
Mary was a great cook and beloved mother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary also leaves a son, Justin Kelley of Oxford; three grandchildren; and two nieces.
