Marshall Rodriguez Obituary

Marshall Rodriguez, 50, was born on July 13, 1973, in Brighton, Massachusetts. He was the eldest son of Mariella Aguirre & Luis Carlos Rodriguez who immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia, and big brother to Anne Marie & Alex Rodriguez. Marshall grew up in Marlborough and later settled in Worcester. He also leaves behind his devoted girlfriend and love of his life for the past 27 years, Keren Azoulay, in addition to his beloved niece and nephews, Emery, Evan, and Jasper.

Marshall left an indelible mark on those around him. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly through his love of music. From his early years, he found inspiration in the sounds of iconic bands like Kiss, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Later on, Marshall's musical tastes expanded to include the Grateful Dead and Phish, solidifying his presence within the vibrant Northeast Jamband festival scene. His love of music crossed genres and dimensions in time. He loved it all. From an unbelievable guitar solo, or the way the woo woo girls would back up Elvis, he found small parts in various songs that made him smile. Marshall expressed himself through his love and knowledge of music in all areas of his life.

Beyond his passion for music, Marshall was an entrepreneur. He was the proud owner of Marker Protection Services, an event security business that he built from the ground up in 2000. Marshall's journey into the security industry began in the late 90's when he started working at Tammany Hall in Worcester. Through hard work and determination, he transformed his experience into a lasting business while leaving an impact on the those who joined him on his journey.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Marshall was an avid sports enthusiast, eagerly cheering on his favorite teams and players on the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. However, above all else, Marshall treasured his relationships with those closest to him. He also cherished his beloved pets, Ellie and C.C, who was named after his mother’s homeland of Cali, Colombia.

Marshall’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His infectious laughter, unwavering kindness, and entrepreneurial spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by family, friends, and the community he touched. May his legacy of love and determination continue to inspire us all.
