Marianita Belen, 64, of Worcester, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves five children, Noel Valle, Luis Valle, Johanna Valle, Carmen Morales and Manuel Morales Belen. She also had eight siblings and six grandchildren.
Marianita was born February 24, 1959 in Maricao, Puerto Rico, daughter of Jose Belen Pagan and Luz E. Correa Velez. She has lived in Worcester for the past 30 years.
She worked for many years in the former Auburn distribution center for Filene’s Basement. She was also very passionate about arts and crafts, baking and celebrating birthdays with loved ones.
Marianita was blessed with many wonderful personal qualities. She was a loving mother devoted to her children. She possessed a warm and happy personality. She was humble, compassionate, honest, genuine and hard working. She will always be remembered for her kindness and gentleness towards others. Whether it was a beach trip or shopping spree, she was always ready for adventure. Her family will miss her greatly.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery, Worcester.
