Kenneth Clancey, 74, of Worcester, died May 28, 2024 at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, after an illness.
His wife, Mary E. (Johnson) Clancey, passed away in 2017.
Ken was born in Worcester, son of the late James J. and Helen S. (Lewis) Clancey and lived in Worcester all his life. His brother Richard Clancey died in 1969.
He was a graduate of Burncoat High School and Quinsigamond Community College.
He worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years, before retiring.
Kenny loved the rock and roll music of the 1960s and 1970s. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Ken, an honorary member of the Brunelle family, leaves many good friends and neighbors, including his longtime close friends Charles and Marilyn Brunelle of Pinellas Park, Fla., and their daughter and Ken’s beloved godchild Katie “Brunelle” Educate of Clearwater, Fla.
There will be a calling hour on Monday, June 24, at 6 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.
