Judith E. (Chartier) Johnson, 74, died Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after an illness.
She leaves her husband, Norman Collette; two daughters, Heather Johnson-LaVenture and her husband Christian P. LaVenture of Worcester, and Carrie Lee Horn of Rutland; five grandchildren, Dustin and Allyson LaVenture, and Hanna, Anton and Robert Horn; and a brother James Chartier of Leicester.
Judy was predeceased by her daughter Heidi Johnson and her grandson C.J. LaVenture.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Eugene and Lorraine (Brown) Chartier, and lived in Worcester all her life.
She graduated from North High School and later completed a program for hair styling.
Judy was a hairdresser and a barber for many years. For several years, she managed Great Cuts on Main St. in Worcester, before retiring.
She was an avid gardener and appreciated all kinds of flowers. When she was younger, she enjoyed water skiing on Indian Lake.
Judy was a loving and generous person who took every opportunity to help family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
There are calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, on Saturday, February 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. The calling hours will be followed by a memorial service. Burial will be private.
