Judith L. (Sullivan) Roy, 76, of Whitinsville went home to the Lord after a bad fall on Tuesday, April 16th,.
She was born on February 14, 1948, to Eugene A. Sullivan and Rose M. (O’Donnell) Sullivan of Worcester. She attended Classical High School, graduating in its last class. Judy graduated from Framingham State College, now University, in 1970, earned a master’s degree from Worcester State College, now University, and a CAGS from Harvard University. She started her career teaching sixth grade in Auburn. She was a reading specialist in the Worcester Public Schools. She furthered her career by becoming a Principal in Grafton, Fitchburg and Southbridge.
Judy leaves her daughter Alison (Rick) Braughton of Panama and Arizona; three grandchildren, Alexa, Austin and Ricky, and two step-grandchildren, Alicia and Amanda; a sister, Rosanne (Vincent) Matulaitis, a niece, Sue M. (Jeremy) Citro, all of Worcester, and many dear friends.
There will be a calling hour Tuesday, April 23, from 9 to 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow immediately at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is assisting the family.
