John Quercio Obituary

John F. Quercio, 66, of North Brookfield, died Sunday, June 29th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

He leaves behind his two brothers, Heath Quercio and Tom Cavalieri, along with several nieces.  He also leaves behind his loving housemates, Phil, Eric, Joe and his cherished caregivers.  He was predeceased by his mother Mary and brother Michael.

John was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on May 2nd, 1959.

John enjoyed various activities with his housemates and staff.  John loved music, especially from the 50s and 60s, and most days you could find him dancing to his favorite songs. 

John loved holding hands, eating his favorite snack Cheeseballs, and drinking his coffee. His favorite food was pasta and chicken nuggets.

John’s laughter was contagious and he lit up every room he was in. He had a very boisterous spirit that will never be forgotten.

John brought much joy to everyone in his 66 years.  John also loved when his caregivers would sing the song “You are My Sunshine” because it held a very special place in his heart as his Mom would always sing it to him.

John was a lively and strong person who will forever be missed by all.

Calling hours are Wednesday, July 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester.  The funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 10, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St., Worcester.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
