John Gaudet Obituary
John E. Gaudet, 74, a resident of the Marlborough Hills Nursing Center, and formerly of Rutland and Boylston, died March 28, 2023, at Marlborough Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his son, Edward Gaudet of Rutland; and his two sisters, Mary Gaudet of Holden and Margie Hendrickson of Boylston.
John grew up in Boylston, son of John and Frances (Carkin) Gaudet. He was a graduate of Tahanto Regional High School and Becker College.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
He was a steel worker for many years. Later, he was a truck driver and a bus operator for the Silver Fox Charter Bus Company.
John was a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gayhead (Aquinnah) on Martha’s Vineyard. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of baseball.
The funeral service for John will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at Noon at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will be private.
