Jerilynn Flynn Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the death of Jerilynn Flynn, who left us on February 17, 2025. While her journey was filled with many challenges, Jerilynn was also a person of love, kindness, warmth, and loyalty.

Born on April 10, 1974, to the late Donald and Geraldine Cox. Jerilynn was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She grew up with her siblings Cynthia Norton, Donald Cox and the late Michael Cox, shaping a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to family.

For over 30 years, Jerilynn was a devoted, loving wife of James Flynn (52). Their bond was a cast to true love and partnership. The love they shared was evident to all who knew them, and James will forever carry her in his heart. She was a loving mother to Alexandria Cox (33), James Flynn (29), Hannah Flynn (27), and MaryKate Flynn (25). She was predeceased by the death by her son, Patrick Flynn, whom she cherished deeply. Leaving her first granddaughter Lilliana.

Jerilynn had a love for the beach, finding it a place where she felt peace in the sound of the waves, a place where she felt she could escape. She had a deep love for animals, always showing kindness and care to every creature she encountered. Her presence brought joy to those around her, leaving a forever mark on those lives she touched.

Throughout her life, Jerilynn faced the challenges of addiction, a struggle that affected both her and those who loved her. Despite these battles, she had a heart full of love for her family and friends. Jerilynn’s passing reminds us of the importance of recognizing the complexities of addiction, and how it affects so many lives. Her story is a testament to the need for compassion, understanding, and support for those impacted by addiction and overdose.
Jerilynn is survived by her loving family and children who take comfort knowing she is now at peace. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life and the many ways she touched our hearts.

In honor of Jerilynn Flynn, a private Mass will be held with her closest family and friends.
We ask for any donations and flowers to be sent to your local animal shelters and recovery centers in memory and donation of Jerilynn and her Husband James Flynn, and to NACoA, National Association for Children of Addiction to raise awareness and support to children who are impacted by addiction in honor of her children.

She will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
