James C. Poirier Sr.

James Charles Poirier Sr., 69, died Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.

James was the son of the late Frances and Charles Poirier Sr. of Worcester.

Jimmy leaves his wife Michele (O’Connell) Poirier, daughters Shannon and Danielle Poirier and son James Poirier Jr.; his grandchildren Seamus, Cian, Xyan and Xhaydan all of Worcester; his sisters Patricia Depatie and Charlene Poirier; brothers Michael and his wife Sheryl and Robert Poirier; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Chuck, Kenneth, Richard and Charles Poirier; and his sisters, Pamela DePaoli, Susan Sarsfield and Deborah Saliba.

Jimmy worked primarily as a painter and in maintenance. He loved the beach, especially the Cape, and spending time with his family.

After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
