James O'Donnell Jr. Obituary

James Brendan O’Donnell Jr, 74, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Sunday, March 3.

He was born in Worcester to the late James B. and Rita E. (Mailea) O’Donnell. James was predeceased by his younger sister Rita (O’Donnell) Lauzon.

James is survived by his amazing wife of 40 years, Elizabeth J. (Lara) O’Donnell; two beautiful daughters Kristian, of Rutland and Kayla O’Donnell of Brookfield; his adoring grandson and best friend, Landen James Mohr who he spent his days with. James leaves his oldest sister Ann-Marie Iannotta of Auburn, and Patricia Castillo of Millbury and many nieces and nephews.

James worked for 32 years as a mental health worker at the former Worcester State Hospital. Early in his life James was an E5 in the National Guard. He also owned two taxi cabs operating in the city.

The family would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at the Overlook Masonic Home’s PAU in Charlton, Ma. and Harrington Physicians Services in Spencer, Ma. For all their hard work and dedication for his care.
