James J. Georgian, 67, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Brookhaven Assisted Care & Rest Home in West Brookfield.
James leaves his mother, Mary (Athas) Georgian of Worcester, his sister Lynne E. Georgian of Tiverton RI, two brothers, Stephen J. Georgian and his wife Mary Ann of East Brookfield, and John C. Georgian and his wife Sandra of Shrewsbury; nine nieces and nephews: Thomas, Marisa, Billy, Jonny, Nicole, Andrew, Matthew, Zachary and Nicholas; a grand-niece Juliet; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His father John J. Georgian passed away in 2012. His brother Christopher J. Georgian died in 2015.
James was born in Boston and grew up in Worcester. In 1974, he graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and later took engineering courses at Central New England College, both in Worcester.
James loved music and was an accomplished guitarist. In the 1970s, he played in a band Stormy Breeze. Later as a volunteer, he sang and played guitar to entertain residents at senior living facilities around Worcester.
There will be a calling hour Thursday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester, followed by a funeral service in the cathedral at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
