Helen C. (Dunn) Twiss, 92, of Worcester, died Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
She leaves her husband of 67 years, David J. Twiss of Worcester; two children, Margaret M. Twiss of Worcester and David J. Twiss Jr. and his wife Diane of Barre; a granddaughter, Rachel E. Twiss; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, John J. Dunn Jr. and Francis R. Dunn, and her sisters, Anne M. Perry and Mary T. Bristol.
Helen was born in Worcester, daughter of John J. and Mary (Walsh) Dunn and graduated from Commerce High School.
She was a bookkeeper for the First National Stores and later was a receptionist for the Marsh-Kemp Insurance Agency before retiring.
She was a member of St Christopher’s Church.
Helen enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, and going out with friends. She also enjoyed summer vacations on Cape Cod with her family and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 5, with a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
