Gloria C. (Klink) McHugh

Gloria C. (Klink) McHugh, 89, of West Boylston, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her home. 

Her husband of 58 years, Francis E. McHugh, died in 2014. They raised their family in West Boylston and for the past twenty years Gloria resided in the Hillside Village community of West Boylston enjoying the community and activities there.

Gloria was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph A. and Adeline (Zalansky) Klink. She was predeceased by both her parents and her sister Virginia. She leaves three daughters, Karen Pier and her husband David of Rockland, Maine, Lynne Goodnow McHugh of Westminster, and Joan McHugh Gierer of East Lyme, Conn.; a sister Dolores Klink, a brother Joseph Klink, both of Worcester; six grandsons, three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

Early in her career, she worked at the State Mutual Life Assurance Co. Later, she was a waitress at the William Paul House and at Wachusett Country Club. She was also employed for a long time in the home of a Worcester family.     

Gloria was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at Saint Christopher Church in Worcester.  She enjoyed spending countless days at the beach and vacationing with her husband in their recreational vehicle. 

Funeral services are private.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Hillside Village Women's Group which provides enrichment programs for the residents and donations to the West Boylston Police and Fire Departments in appreciation for their service.
