Francis F. Riley, 91, of Worcester, died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Holy Trinity Nursing Center.
He leaves his wife of 67 years, Patricia M. (Cooney) Riley; four children, Frederick F. Riley, his wife Elizabeth, and their two children, Aidan and Patrick Riley, of Westborough; Sean Riley, his wife Jennifer, and their two children, Shaye and Camden Riley, of Rutland; Patricia F. Riley and her husband John Lindstedt of Spencer; and Christopher Riley, his wife Natalie, and their two children Ethan and Emma Riley, of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Virginia Conlin, Eleanor Hutchinson and Eileen Riley, and a brother James Riley.
Fran was born in Worcester, son of Frederick and Frances (Maglione) Riley, and lived in Worcester his entire life.
After graduating from St. Stephen’s High School, He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in the era of the Korean War.
Fran had a long career in the Marine Division of the General Electric Co. He worked to support clients out of G.E. offices in Lynn, Waltham and Westborough, and travelled often to additional G.E. partnership sites in Schenectady, N.Y. and Groton, Conn.
Fran was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
