Frances E. (Devlin) Salisbury

Frances E. Salisbury, 101, formerly of Shrewsbury and Worcester, died Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Milford. 

Her husband, James R. Salisbury, passed away in 1988.  Her first husband, Dr. John F. Madden, died in 1972.

Frances was born in Worcester, daughter of James E. and Elizabeth G. (Ahern) Devlin.  Her brother, Robert A. Devlin, died in 2009.

Frances was a graduate of Regis College in Weston.   She was a teacher on the faculty at Leicester High School for many years.  She also worked with her brother at Bob Devlin’s Sporting Goods Co. in Worcester for many years.  

Frances leaves several cousins.

Funeral arrangements are private.  There are no calling hours.  Frances will be buried with her late husband James Salisbury at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. 

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing funeral arrangements.
