Elinor Groden, 96, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, August 12, at the Willows of Worcester.
Elinor leaves her two nieces, Linda G. Duclos of Worcester and Pamela E. Alvarez of Burlington, Conn., grandnieces and a grandnephew.
She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy E. Groden and her brother Edward W. Groden.
Elinor was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Thomas C. and Cleone (Linton) Groden and lived in Worcester all her life.
She attended the former West Boylston St. School and graduated from Commerce High School.
Elinor was secretary to the president of the former Woodbury & Co., where she worked for more than 40 years.
Elinor was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She will always be remembered as a as a loving sister and aunt.
There will be a visitation period on Wednesday, August 20, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester with the funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
