Denis J. FitzGerald

Denis J. FitzGerald, MD, age 82, of King of Prussia, PA, formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away on March 25, 2023.  He was born April 29, 1940 in Worcester, MA to the late Dr. Arthur and Julia FitzGerald (nee Lenehan).

Denis is survived by his loving wife Joan M. FitzGerald (nee Chiminello), and his children, Dr. Denis FitzGerald, Dr. James FitzGerald, and Julie Hess, Esquire, and his son-in-Law, Steven T. Hess.  He was the adoring grandfather to Amanda, Kaitlyn, William, Megan, and Andrew. He was also beloved brother of the late Dr. Arthur FitzGerald, the late Terence FitzGerald, Esquire, Cathlene Christiano, and Maryellen Lalor.

Denis graduated from Worcester Academy, Brown University, New Jersey College of Medicine, and New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.  He served as Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, Chief of Ophthalmology at the Fallon Clinic, CEO & President of St. Vincent's Hospital, and New England Regional Medical Director of Veterans Affairs.

A memorial service with burial to be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester, MA at noon on Saturday, April, 1, 2023.
