Damaso DeJesús Rivera, 95, of Worcester, died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his home.
He leaves five daughters, Lucelia DeJesús, Janet DeJesús, Alice DeJesús, Elsa M. DeJesús and Delilah DeJesús and five grandchildren, Johnny Pacheco, Junior Vargas, Rose J. Rodriguez, Fernando J. Rodriguez and Shanise Perez.
Damaso was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico son of Eleno DeJesús Ramos and Ana Rivera Candelario.
He worked many skilled jobs putting to use his talents as an artisan. He was also known for his carpentry, sculpting, poetry, writing, and philosophical musings.
The funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 28, at 1 p.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial in Puerto Rico will take place at a later date.
