Christopher Shea Obituary

Christopher John Shea, 57, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.

He was a loving father to Jacklyn Shea of Boylston, Catherine Vodi and her husband Mawuli of Centreville, Va., and Matthew Legor and his wife Shivani of Worcester. He also leaves his mother Virginia (Tumas) Smith and her husband Peter of Fort Myers, Fla., sisters Kelley Smith of Worcester and Colleen Smith of Manchester, N.H.; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Chris was predeceased by his father John R. “Jackie” Shea Jr. in 1997 and his brother Timothy P. Shea in 2013.

Born in Worcester, Chris was proud of his Irish heritage and to have grown up on Vernon Hill. He graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School and Quinsigamond Community College. He worked for Verizon for over 30 years as an equipment installation technician.

Chris was a loyal Patriots fan. He loved to listen to Bruce Springsteen. He was an avid reader, especially of the works of Steven King. He found his greatest comfort sitting by the ocean.

Chris was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held Saturday, February 3, in the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, with a visitation period from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and a funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
