Bridget M. (O'Leary) Perkins

Bridget Mary (O’Leary) Perkins, 93, of Worcester passed on peacefully on 29 May 2024.

She will be missed by her sisters, Philomena and Margaret of England, children, Kathy Bibaud (Chip), Billy Perkins (Jeanette) and Mary Learned (Scott), and their families, including four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Bridie is pre-deceased by her husband, Bill, to whom she was married 62 years.

Bridie was born in Ballaugh, County Kerry Killarney, Ireland along with her fourteen brothers and sisters. She ventured out on “the boat” and moved to Worcester at the age of 19. She worked in the accounting department of Commerce Bank for 24 years, retiring in 1996. Bridie was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the St George’s Church Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

Bridie was kind and very sweet and a pleasure to be around. Her life demonstrated inner strength and compassion as well as resilience. She was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming laps at the Greendale Y and walking the beach at North Myrtle Beach. Her favorite response to any question about her plans for the day was, “You’re looking at it.” Bridie’s face would light up whenever she had one of her grand babies to herself.
