Anne M. Crotty, 94, of Worcester, died Sunday April 23, 2023 at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
Anne was born in Worcester, daughter of James A. and Ellen G. (McGuiness) Crotty. She lived in New York City for more than 25 years before returning to Worcester. She was a graduate of Noroton Heights Preparatory School in Darien, Conn. and Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, Penn.
For most of her career, Anne worked in New York City in customer service for Scandinavian Airlines. After returning to Worcester, she was a travel agent with Rosenlund Travel. She also did some security consulting work for area banks, before retiring.
Anne travelled extensively. She spent many summer days on the beaches of Ogunquit, Maine. She enjoyed skiing and playing tennis, and an occasional visit to Foxwoods.
Anne leaves four nieces, Sheilagh Crotty with whom she lived, Tara Jenkins, Kathy Hurley and Anne Reyburn, and three nephews, Richard, James and Ted Crotty.
There will be a funeral Mass on Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
