Alice M. (Beeso) Sullivan, 75, of Dudley and formerly of Worcester, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at home.
Her husband of 41 years, Thomas J. Sullivan, died January 24, 2022.
Alice leaves a daughter, Amy Joyce, her husband Wayne Joyce, and their sons Jack and Connor, with whom she lived in Dudley; a sister, Katherine Patterson of Rutland; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Diane M. Chamberland and Barbara Ruzicka, and her brother Edward Beeso.
Alice was born in Worcester, daughter of Russell E. and Mildred A. (Stearns) Beeso. She lived in Worcester most of her life before moving to Dudley a few years ago.
She attended Commerce High School in Worcester until it closed and graduated with the first class at Doherty High School.
Alice worked in the Dietary Dept. of St. Vincent Hospital for more than 30 years. She later worked for Shaw’s markets, before retiring.
Alice found great joy living with her daughter Amy’s family these past few years, especially the time she spent with her young grandsons. She did crafts projects with the boys. They watched television together. She loved listening to Jack become a better and better trumpeter. She marveled as she provided a small bit of help to Connor as he patiently and carefully built complicated Lego structures.
Alice also loved birds, especially Cardinals, and collected items with Cardinal depictions.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
