Alice M. Burke

Alice M. Burke of Shrewsbury and formerly of Worcester died Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Shrewsbury Nursing Center. She would have turned 100 years old on May 9 of this year. 

Alice was born in Orwell, Vermont, daughter of Jerome P. and Margaret E. (Cronin) Burke.

She leaves her brother, Hugh D. Burke and his wife Alice of Shrewsbury, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Ellen Walsh and her husband James, and her brother Robert Burke and his wife Catherine. 

Alice worked in retail stores throughout Worcester over many years. 

There will be a calling hour Friday, January 6, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
